Sharana Briggs is the driving force behind Sharana By Design. Interiors, home decoration and design has been in her blood since she started selecting wallpaper for her bedroom at the age of 9. Since then, there have been many homes bought, renovated and successfully sold.  

Sharana opened her own fashion and homewares store in 2001 and over the following ten years worked hard in expanding her knowledge in Visual Merchandising and took on many advisory roles for clients wanting decorating tips for their home. In demand for her decorating ideas, Sharana sold her business in early 2011 to continue working one on one with people on a more personal level, helping them to achieve their vision in their homes.  

Studying with The Interior Design Academy, Sharana found her niche with wallpaper, creating individual "wow" factors for many happy clients. 

Her love of the outdoors is what also what prompted Sharana to extend her business to incorporate a full design and landscaping service. Believing that the outdoor area is as important as the inside, Sharana and her team offer creative visions to compliment any interior and lifestyle. Understanding that our way of living is moving more and more to the outdoors, Sharana, alongside her landscaping team, Dig Designs, delight in working together to combine both living spaces.

Having one of her designs featured in The Kitchen Year magazine inspired Sharana to pursue her passion and audition for Channel 9's popular renovating series "The Block".  Many of you may remember her as Rana, an endearing nick name given to her by family and friends. Rana along with her son Brett were successful in their audition and were contestants on the 2012 series. From this exposure, Sharana By Design was born.
